AIIMS MBBS 2023: All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) New Delhi is responsible for organizing AIIMS MBBS entrance exam every year. It is a national level entrance test, is a gateway for providing admission to eligible candidates in the MBBS courses offered by different AIIMS institutions across India. It is considered among the toughest medical entrance exams and therefore the candidates are suggested to prepare strongly for the paper. It is being expected that AIIMS MBBS 2023 will be held in the month of May 2023. This gives the candidates around 1 year for exam preparation. Eligibility Criteria for AIIMS MBBS 2023
It is must for all candidates to satisfy the prescribed eligibility criteria before applying for AIIMS MBBS 2023 exam. The details of AIIMS 2023 eligibility criteria are given below:
Nationality
The candidates of Indian nationality can apply. The OCI (Overseas Citizen of India), Non-Resident Indians and candidates of Foreign Nationals are also eligible for the exam.
Educational qualification
- Candidates should have completed 12th or equivalent examination from any recognized board with Chemistry, English, Physics, and Biology subjects. Applicants must have scored at least 60% marks (50% for candidates from SC/ST/OPH category) in the qualifying examination. The appearing candidates are also eligible to apply.
- Foreign candidates nominated by the Government of India are required to have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in the subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology in their Intermediate Science or an equivalent examination to be eligible for admission to the M.B.B.S. course. Such candidates are not required to appear for the entrance exam and should contact the Indian Mission/ Post abroad in their country and the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi for nomination.
Age criteria
The candidates should have completed 17 years as minimum age limit on the 31st December of the year of admission.
Note: For the OCI and NRI candidates, all the terms & conditions will be applicable as an Indian national candidate.
AIIMS 2023 Application Form: How to apply?
Interested and eligible candidates can register for AIIMS 2023 through online mode. No other mode will be provided by the authority for form submission. The aspirants can obtain the application form from the official website aiimsexams.org.
At first, candidates have to complete the online registration process where they have to provide personal details, contact details and AIIMS preference. The candidates will have to accept the declaration at the end of the page and after that by clicking on the ‘register’ button the process of registration will be complete. A ‘candidate id’ will appear on the screen and an email/ SMS containing the ‘candidate id’ and a password will also be sent on the registered email id/ contact number.
Using this candidate id and password, the candidate will have to login and change the password. Re-login with the id and the new password to complete the remaining steps of the application form submission. When you re-login into your account, the filled-in details of the application form will appear on the screen. You can either opt to edit these details or move onto the next step.
In the next step, the applicants will have to submit the necessary application fee. the payment can only be done online by debit card/ credit card/ net banking.

Next, the candidates will have to select the exam city choice (step 3), fill the educational qualification and address details (step 4) and finally upload the scanned images of signature, photograph and thumb impression in the given format (step 5).

AIIMS MBBS 2023: How to prepare?
The admissions into MBBS courses offered by AIIMS can only be offered through this exam. So, for the aspirants willing to get enrolled in this institute, it is important that they prepare for the exam very wisely. Since, the exam will be conducted in May (tentatively), around 1-year time is left and so the candidates must start studying in a well-planned manner.
First of all, you must make a schedule or time-table giving proper time to each subject. The focus should be more on the subject you are weak in.
Before you start studying, you must be well-aware of the exam syllabus. The syllabus of AIIMS MBBS 2023 will be comprised of various topics from subjects like Chemistry, Physics, Biology, General Knowledge and Aptitude of 12th class, under the 10+2/ Intermediate Scheme. You must regularly practice mock tests so that you can know your weak and strong topics and then study accordingly.

Examination Pattern
AIIMS MBBS 2023 entrance exam will be organized in May 2023 (tentatively). Candidates who are planning to appear in the AIIMS 2023 exam are advised to first go through the exam pattern details before starting their preparation. The important points on AIIMS 2023 exam pattern are provided below:
The exam will be conducted in an online mode.
The total duration of the exam will be 3 hours 30 minutes.
The paper will carry a total of 200 questions, each carrying 1 mark.
One-third mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
Out of the total 200 questions, 140 questions will be of objective type and 60 will be of reason assertion.
The paper will be in both English and Hindi language.

Schedule of Exam
AIIMS MBBS 2023 exam is supposed to be held in two days and in two shifts per day- morning shift and afternoon shift. No candidate will be permitted to change the day/shift other than that allotted to him/ her.

Admit card
The officials will release the AIIMS MBBS 2023 admit card for all the eligible and accepted applications on the official website aiimsexams.org. Those who are not able to download their admit card should immediately contact the Asstt. Controller Examinations, AIIMS, New Delhi-110 608 along with full particulars of the application form through email.
The admit card must bear the details of printout such as IP address etc. The candidate must carry a valid admit card, photograph and a photo identity proof (Aadhaar Card/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Class 12th Board Admit Card) to the exam center. The ID proof should be the same as the one mentioned in the application form. The venue, time and shift of the examination will be mentioned in the admit card.
The candidates are also advised to preserve a copy of the admit card till the whole process of admission is over.
Exam Center
AIIMS 2023 will be conducted in various major cities of different states of India. The final decision regarding the exam center will be made by the AIIMS and no request for change in the allotted center will be entertained.

AIIMS MBBS 2023 Result
AIIMS 2023 result will be announced most likely in the month of June 2023. The candidates who score more than the minimum cut-off marks in the entrance exam will be declared qualified. Roll numbers of candidates who qualify for admission will be available on AIIMS website. The percentile score of the individual candidate will also be uploaded on the official website. A merit list will be prepared by the authority as per the marks scored by candidates in the examination.
Requests for re-evaluation/ re-checking the answers will not be entertained under any circumstances.
Tie-Breaker
In case of a tie, the following candidates will be preferred:
- Candidate with higher marks in Biology
- Candidate with higher marks in Chemistry
- Candidate with higher marks in Physics
- Candidate older in age
AIIMS 2023 Counseling and Admission
Selected candidates who qualify the exam successfully will have to take part in the counselling process according to their rank. The seat allocation/ counseling will be done online based on the choice exercised by the qualified candidates.
Te applicants selected for admission must bring the following original documents at the time of admission:
- Class 10+2 exam (or equivalent) passing certificate showing the subject offered by him/her in the Examination
- Certificate from the board showing the date of birth
- Mark sheet of class 10+2 or equivalent showing that the candidate has secured the required minimum qualifying marks.
- Migration Certificate
- SC/ST Certificate issued by the competent authority (if applicable). Community should be clearly mentioned in the certificate.
- OBC Certificate issued by the competent authority for candidates belonging to OBC-NC layer
- PWBD Certificate from the prescribed authority (if applicable)
Selected candidates will undergo medical Examination at the allotted institute by a Medical Board consisting of Faculty Members set up by the Institute. If a candidate is found medically unfit to the course, then he/ she will be not granted admission. The decision of the Medical Board in this regard shall be final.
