JIPMER MBBS Exam Pattern 2022: JIPMER MBBS exam is conducted in the month of June and it is one of the most important exams for the medical aspirants. In order to be well-prepared for the exam, it is necessary for the candidates to get an understanding of JIPMER MBBS Exam Pattern 2022. The exam is conducted in online mode and the duration of the paper is 2:30 hours. The exam can be conducted either in a single shift or in two shifts depending on certain factors & as per the directions of the Hon’ble High Court, Chennai.

Here are given a few highlights of the JIPMER MBBS Exam Pattern 2022 to provide the candidates familiarity with the entrance exam:
- Mode of examination: The exam will be conducted as a computer-based test, i.e., it will be held in online mode.
- Medium of question paper: The question paper will be available only in English language.
- Duration of the exam: The exam will be conducted for the duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes.
- Subjects Involved: The questions in the exam will be asked from Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English Language & Comprehension and Logical & Quantitative Reasoning.
- Number of Questions: The total number of questions asked in the exam will be 200.
- Type of Questions: All the questions asked in the paper will be of objective type (multiple choice questions or MCQs).
- Marking Scheme: For each correct answer, 4 marks will be given to the candidates. There will be a negative marking of one-fourth marks, i.e., 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
- Exam Center: The exam is proposed to be conducted in around 120 cities all over India. The center will be allotted to the candidates on the basis of choice made in the application form (except under certain circumstances such as non-availability of seats, cancellation of exam center, etc).

Schedule of the JIPMER MBBS Exam 2022
Depending on the number of candidates appearing for the JIPMER MBBS exam, the exam can be conducted either in single shift or in two shifts.
Single shift:
- Timing: 10:00 am to 12:30 pm
Two shifts:
- Morning shift/ first shift timing: 10:00 am to 12:30 pm
- Afternoon shift/ second shift timing: 03:00 pm to 05:30 pm
The allocation of the shift will be done on a random basis and the shift in which the candidates have to appear for will be mentioned in the admit card.
JIPMER MBBS Syllabus 2021
The syllabus of the JIPMERB MBBS exam will be based on the curriculum of the class 11th and 12th standards as prescribed by the State Board Higher Secondary and Central Board of Secondary Education. The syllabus will cover the topics from Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects of 11th and 12th and certain topics related to basic English comprehension and reasoning ability.
